We're pleased to welcome Fred Gambino to ALA. Fred's an accomplished illustrator of book covers, picture books, gaming design, film concept, and character development. His new book, Dark Shepherd (Titan Books), coming out later this year features a collection of his work. Look for a preview in the next few weeks. Fred is available for projects with a March 1st deadline.

We are pleased to announce that Jim Kay has been commissioned to fully illustrate the entire Harry Potter series. A mouth watering and career defining opportunity as well as a mammoth task!
The first in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, will be published in September 2015 with subsequent titles released on an annual basis thereafter. Color illustrations throughout! Jim, who won the Kate Greenaway award for A Monster Calls in 2012 has been featured in two articles published by the Guardian. The initial article can be seen here and an insightful Q&A can be read here. The deal with Bloomsbury UK was negotiated by our colleague Alison Eldred in London.
